Would you rather be hurt by the truth or comforted by lies?

There IS a separation between what exists in reality and what is true in the mind.

Before I was saved by Jesus, I based my definition of the truth solely on my own perception and interpretation of reality.

The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
-Jeremiah 17:9

I trusted in my heart so much, that I gave familiar spirits legal rights to my life.
I was demon possessed. I was delusional.
Delusion is a “fixed, false conviction in something that is not real.”

I used to believe Christians were delusional and that I had “all the answers inside” -
I deepened my relationships with the spiritual entities I communicated with. My “spirit guides”.
I trusted them to guide me through a fulfilling life. I believed what they shared with me to be true.

It was all a lie.
Turns out, it is the truth with a twist.
Truth + Deception

“You can be like God”
Sounds like a slimy serpent to me.

The relationships I had with these spirits were unsafe.
They made me feel good enough to convince me this was real…
But they were leading me towards
death.

I used to encourage others to befriend their demons. Literally blindly trusting in those who want to kill you.

The spirits encouraged me to lean in and embrace my darkness. They encouraged me to consciously sin.
I referred to this as “shadow work”, becoming a bodhisattva, or being a “light worker”

Truth is, we cannot reach nirvana through our good works. We all are already guilty of sin.
The wages of sin is death.

I was so deceived, in my mind, I justified the world’s evil deeds through our own sovereignty.
I believed there was no such thing as good and evil.
I justified my own selfish acts and evil deeds through “self love” and “honoring myself”
Life was centered around ME, MY truth, MY desires.

I put humanity’s free will on a pedestal, over God’s will. This is false idol worship.

God is good. God is love.
We are not.

The truth and reality: We are not God.

God is God.

We are God’s creation, made in His image.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and which is already in the world at this time.
